Visa
Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa:
- nationals of Kuwait for stays of up to 6 months,
- Palestinians holding an Egyptian residence card, provided the stay outside Egypt does not exceed 6 months,
- nationals of Bahrain, Guinea, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and United Arab Emirates stays of up to 90 days,
- nationals of Jordan (if holding a 5-year passport) for stays of up to 30 days,
- nationals of Malaysia for stays of up to 15 days,
- those continuing their journey to a third country within 24 hours, provided holding confirmed tickets,
- Cruise ship passengers entering Egypt at any port for a maximum stay of 3 days.

Travelers arriving to Sinai can take no-fee 14-day visa valid for travel within Sinai only.


VISA ON ARRIVAL

However, citizens of the following countries are required to be in possession of a pre-arrival visa:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macau, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunis, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and all African countries.

A 30-day visa can be obtained on arrival provided the purpose of travel is for tourism for US$15-$91, depending on nationality.


VISA IN MISSION ABROAD

There are three types of Egyptian visa:
- tourist Visa: is usually valid for a period not exceeding three months and granted on either single or multiple entry basis.
- entry Visa: is required for any foreigner arriving in Egypt for purposes other than tourism, e.g. work, study, etc. The possession of a valid Entry Visa is needed to complete the residence procedure in Egypt.
- transit Visa.
